Oppression screams for change, but new systems bring their own oppressions. Being oppressed does not make you righteous. That is a brutal truth, but a truth nonetheless.

How do you break a broken cycle that Solomon observed almost 3,000 years ago?

We are full of false certainty.

We have unmerited confidence in our ability to improve complex systems.

Is there another way? Maybe the needed revolution is internal?
