How we process God (the I AM) and this world (what is) tells us everything we need to know about ourselves (our name). We are enamored with potential (the day of birth). What really matters is who you have shown yourself to be when all is said and done (the day of death). The day of death reveals more than the day of birth. We are all fighting a long defeat against death. How we fight tells us who we really are. Choosing life for others even when it seems like a death for us says something.
