We are enamored with potential and giftedness wherever we see them. Consider beauty, intellect, or athleticism as examples. Such potential is not impressive, for we will never be the source of our own potential or gifts. Intent, attitude, and faithfulness are what make all such things potentially good or potentially bad. To the pure, all things are pure.
